Communication for a changing world.
My work asks how language frames climate crisis, sustainability, extinction, development, disaster, and belonging. I am especially interested in the stories that dominate public life, and the counter-narratives that make other futures imaginable.
In the classroom, I teach students to read texts, images, institutions, and landscapes with care. In my writing, I return to the same question in another key. What does language reveal, conceal, protect, or erase?

Reading words, images, signs, spaces, and platforms as meaning-making systems. The poster has entered the seminar room, and it brought receipts.

My scholarly interests include climate refugee discourse, ecolinguistics, greenwashing, semiotic landscapes, Indigenous knowledge, multispecies perspectives, and the politics of erasure in sustainability communication.

Writing
Reflective prose, memoir, grief, and green thinking.
Alongside academic work, I write essays and reflective pieces that treat memory, grief, family, language, and place as serious forms of knowledge. Some stories arrive as scholarship. Some arrive as ache. Both deserve craft.
